How much is Xiaomi SU7 Ultra in China? On March 28, Lei Jun announced that Xiaomi YU7 is pronounced as “Xiaomi Yu 7” in Chinese, which means “land chariot, riding the wind”.
According to previous reports, Xiaomi YU7 is the second mass-produced car under Xiaomi Auto, positioned as a medium-to-large coupe SUV. It is expected to be launched in June-July 2025, with an estimated market price of 300,000-400,000 yuan. Its main competitor is the Model Y from Tesla.
In terms of appearance, Xiaomi YU7 adopts the Xiaomi family design language. In fact, it is not very similar to Ferrari Purosangue. It is more like an elongated Xiaomi SU7. Its front adopts a closed design, and the outline of the headlights and the front surround are not much different from the styling style of Xiaomi SU7. The lower surround is still equipped with a large-sized smoked air intake, which is combined with the guide groove design on both sides to further enhance the sporty atmosphere of the new car.
According to the declaration information, the length, width and height of the new car are 4999/1996/1600mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3000mm. At the rear, Xiaomi YU7 also uses the same taillight design as Xiaomi SU7, but the continuity of the design style can still be seen. At the same time, the car is equipped with a hollow rear spoiler on the roof, which makes the overall lines more stretched and the sporty style more prominent.
In terms of power, Xiaomi YU7 has completed the declaration with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, including three versions. Combined with the declaration data, Xiaomi YU7 provides single-motor and dual-motor (high/low power) models, among which the maximum power of the single-motor model is 235 kilowatts; the maximum power of the dual-motor model (low power) is 130 kilowatts for the front motor and 235 kilowatts for the rear motor; the maximum power of the dual-motor model (high power) is 220 kilowatts for the front motor and 288 kilowatts for the rear motor.
According to the data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Xiaomi YU7 will be equipped with battery packs with a capacity of 96.3 kWh and 101.7 kWh. The 96.3 kWh battery provides a range of 725 km, 810 km and 820 km (unknown test conditions); the 101.7 kWh battery provides a range of 670 km, 750 km and 760 km (unknown test conditions).
The latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology shows that Xiaomi YU7 also matches a battery pack with a capacity of 96.3 kWh, but the range provides 675 km, 760 km and 770 km (unknown test conditions). The 770 km and 675 km models are new endurance models. It is expected that the difference in range may be related to the configuration of different rim sizes.
Although Xiaomi YU7 is positioned as a medium-to-large SUV, its price is likely to be in direct competition with Tesla Model Y, which is positioned as a medium-sized SUV. For reference, the official guide price of the new Tesla Model Y is between 263,500 yuan and 303,500 yuan.
