Recently, we found that BYD has built a Japanese “super favorite” electric car, exclusively for the Japanese market!The BYD Dolphin series previously sold in Japan has been very popular, contributing most of the sales. From the perspective of practicality and Japanese users’ aesthetics of cars, k-car models are actually more advantageous. So it won’t be long before BYD’s new energy vehicle sales in Japan will rise rapidly.
Seeing this, many friends should have some questions. First of all, is this rapidly developed new energy vehicle really reliable in quality? In fact, the development logic of new energy vehicles and fuel vehicles has already undergone obvious differences. New energy vehicles use modular designs, so they can create a new new energy vehicle in a very short time, and the degree of electrification and reliability are not comparable to fuel vehicles.
Secondly, what is BYD’s market share in Japan? According to predictions by relevant Japanese media organizations, BYD will account for about 40% of Japan’s pure electric vehicle sales next year. If Tesla is taken into account, it can be said that Japan’s local new energy vehicle sales are already in jeopardy.
So where is the current development of Japan’s new energy vehicles going? In fact, the development direction of Japanese cars in China has pointed out the way. More and more Japanese cars, such as Toyota, Honda and even Nissan, have developed a large number of cost-effective new energy vehicles for the Chinese market. Interestingly, most of the electric car designs rely on Chinese engineers, and basically follow the current development and design ideas of Chinese electric cars. So I think it is very likely that Chinese electric cars will be reversely imported into Japan in the future, either as complete vehicles or as related vehicle production lines.
