Leapmotor once again led the new energy vehicle companies with a monthly sales of 41,039 vehicles, and sat on the championship throne for two consecutive months, becoming the only new energy brand with a delivery volume of more than 40,000 vehicles in April. At the same time, Xiaopeng Motors delivered 35,045 new cars in April, a year-on-year increase of 273%.   1. BYD
    BYD sold a total of 380,089 vehicles in April 2025, up 21.3% year-on-year. BYD Dynasty + Ocean sold 347,053 vehicles, up 16.5% year-on-year; Fangchengbao Automobile sold 10,039 vehicles, up 375.8% year-on-year; Denza Automobile sold 15,388 vehicles, up 38.4% year-on-year; Yangwang Automobile sold 135 vehicles. In addition, passenger cars and pickup trucks sold 78,705 vehicles overseas, up 91.9% year-on-year. As of the end of April, BYD’s cumulative sales in 2025 reached 1,380,893 vehicles, and the cumulative sales of new energy vehicles in history exceeded 11.9 million vehicles.

    SAIC Group’s total vehicle sales in April 2025 were 376,517 vehicles, up 4.59% year-on-year, and the cumulative sales from January to April were 1,321,367 vehicles, down 10.65% year-on-year. Among them, the sales volume of new energy vehicles in April 2025 was 128,104 units, a year-on-year increase of 71.74%, and the cumulative sales volume in the first four months was 401,054 units, a year-on-year increase of 40.86%.
  3. Geely Automobile
    On May 1, Geely Automobile Holdings Co., Ltd. announced the latest sales data: the sales volume of passenger cars in April was 234,112 units, a year-on-year increase of 53%. So far, the monthly sales volume has exceeded 200,000 units for 8 consecutive months; among them, the sales volume of new energy vehicles (including Geely, Lynk & Co, and Zeekr) was 125,563 units, a year-on-year increase of 144%, and the sales volume of new energy vehicles accounted for 54%, with monthly sales and penetration rate reaching a record high.
  4. Chery Group
    Chery Group sold more than 200,000 vehicles in April 2025, with a total of 200,760 vehicles sold, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%. Among them, Chery’s overall sales volume was 184,850 units, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%; new energy vehicle sales volume was 61,223 units, a year-on-year increase of 85.5%; and 87,738 vehicles were exported, maintaining the first place in exports among independent car companies. In the first four months of this year, Chery Group’s cumulative sales of new energy vehicles were 224,629 units, a year-on-year increase of 140.7%.
  5. Leapmotor
    Leapmotor’s sales in April 2025 were 41,039 units, a year-on-year increase of 173%, setting a new record for growth. It has been the “champion” of new forces for two consecutive months, becoming the only car company with a delivery volume of more than 40,000 units among the new forces in April. From January to April this year, Leapmotor delivered a total of 128,591 new cars. Among them, the cumulative delivery volume of Leapmotor C10 has exceeded 100,000 units, providing a strong boost for Leapmotor to continue to achieve delivery growth.
  6. Xiaopeng Motors
    In April 2025, Xiaopeng Motors delivered a total of 35,045 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 273% and a month-on-month increase of 6%. Xpeng MONA M03 has delivered more than 100,000 units in 8 months since its launch; Xpeng P7+ has rolled off the assembly line for 5 months since its launch. From January to April 2025, Xpeng Motors delivered a total of 129,053 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 313%.

    In April, Ideal Auto delivered 33,939 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 31.6%. As of April 30, 2025, Ideal Auto’s cumulative historical deliveries were 1,260,675.
  8. Great Wall Motors
    In April 2025, Great Wall Motors sold a total of 100,061 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 5.55%, and maintained a steady development trend overall. From the perspective of market segments, high-end models above 200,000 yuan sold 26,360 units, a year-on-year increase of 2.87%; new energy vehicle sales were 28,813 units, a year-on-year increase of 28.42%, and the growth rate led the industry average. From January to April, the sales volume of new energy vehicles was 91,371 units, an increase of 11.95% year-on-year.
  9. GAC Aion
    GAC Aion sold 28,301 new cars in April 2025, maintaining a positive year-on-year growth, and once again set a new monthly sales record. According to the monthly sales volume announced by GAC Aion in 2025, the cumulative sales this year reached 97,639 units.
  10. Xiaomi Auto
    Xiaomi Auto delivered more than 28,000 units in April 2025, and the cumulative sales from January to April this year exceeded 100,000 units. Since the start of mass delivery in April last year, Xiaomi Auto has delivered more than 20,000 units per month for 7 consecutive months, and the cumulative delivery volume has exceeded 240,000 units.
