In the first four months, automobile production and sales exceeded 10 million for the first time, and new energy vehicle sales accounted for 42.7%:
I. Automobile sales in April increased by 9.8% year-on-year. In April, automobile production and sales were 2.619 million and 2.59 million, respectively, up 8.9% and 9.8% year-on-year.
From January to April, automobile production and sales were 10.175 million and 10.06 million, respectively, up 12.9% and 10.8% year-on-year.
(I) Passenger car sales in April increased by 11% year-on-year
In April, passenger car production and sales were 2.257 million and 2.223 million, respectively, up 10.2% and 11% year-on-year.
From January to April, passenger car production and sales were 8.765 million and 8.641 million, respectively, up 14.5% and 12.4% year-on-year.
(II) Sales of commercial vehicles increased by 2.7% year-on-year in April
In April, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 362,000 and 367,000, respectively, up 1.3% and 2.7% year-on-year.
From January to April, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were 1.41 million and 1.418 million, up 4.1% and 2% year-on-year, respectively.
II. Sales of new energy vehicles increased by 44.2% year-on-year in April In April, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 1.251 million and 1.226 million, up 43.8% and 44.2% year-on-year, respectively; the sales of new energy vehicles accounted for 47.3% of the total sales of new vehicles.
From January to April, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 4.429 million and 4.30 million, up 48.3% and 46.2% year-on-year, respectively; the sales of new energy vehicles accounted for 42.7% of the total sales of new vehicles.
3. Automobile exports in April increased by 2.6% year-on-year In April, 517,000 complete vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%. 200,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 76%.
From January to April, 1.937 million complete vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 6%. 642,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 52.6%.
