Why do motor bearings always wear fast? Motor bearing wear is usually related to lubrication, installation, fit, operating environment, foreign body intrusion and vibration impact and other factors.

Appropriate lubrication is the key to reduce the friction between journal and bearing. If there is insufficient lubricant, dry or semi-dry friction will form between the journal and the bearing, greatly increasing the degree of wear. In the high temperature, high dust environment of the motor, lubricating oil is easy to volatile or loss, if not timely replenishment, will be due to insufficient lubrication and accelerate the wear.

In the process of motor installation, if the fit precision of the journal and bearing chamber does not meet the requirements, such as too much or too little interference, it will make the journal and bearing uneven force during operation, and generate excessive stress locally, which will eventually lead to wear. Incorrect installation of bearings or improper installation of pulleys, external forces make the inner and outer rings of the bearings installed crooked, which will lead to rotation inflexibility, bearing heat damage.

The fit clearance between the bearing and the journal and housing is a key factor affecting the stability of bearing operation. Fit clearance is too large, will lead to bearings in operation shaking, aggravate the wear; fit clearance is too small, may be due to thermal expansion and contraction and lead to bearing jamming, will also cause wear and tear.

Bearing operation process, if the dust, metal debris and other foreign matter invasion, will accelerate the bearing wear and corrosion. For example, in some harsh working environments, such as mines, cement factories, etc., there is more dust in the air, which is easy to enter the internal bearing, resulting in faster wear.

Why do motor bearings always wear fast? Bearings will accelerate their wear and fatigue if they are subjected to vibration and shock during operation. Vibration and shock may be caused by imbalance of the equipment itself, failure of transmission parts or external factors.
