Leapmotor delivered 41,039 vehicles in April, a year-on-year increase of 173%; the fastest growing was Xiaopeng Motors, which delivered a total of 35,045 new vehicles in April, a year-on-year increase of 273%; Ideal Auto delivered 33,939 new vehicles in April, a year-on-year increase of 31.6%.
Xiaomi Auto delivered more than 28,000 vehicles in April, a month-on-month decrease of 3.4%. Xiaomi Auto announced in March that its delivery volume exceeded 29,000 vehicles, a month-on-month increase of 45%, setting a new monthly sales record for the brand. Lei Jun’s cherry blossom show failed to boost sales in April.
NIO delivered 23,900 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 53% and a month-on-month increase of 58.9%. Among them, the NIO brand delivered 19,269 new cars; the Ledao brand delivered 4,400 new cars. In April, NIO launched a limited-time preferential policy, providing “5-year free battery replacement” rights for some models.
Zeekr and Lynk & Co brands under Zeekr sold a total of 41,316 cars, a year-on-year increase of 18.7% and a month-on-month increase of 1.5%. Avita and Lantu Auto also delivered monthly sales of over 10,000 in April. Among them, Avita sold 11,681 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 122.6%; Lantu Auto sold 10,019 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 150%. It is reported that after the Spring Festival this year, Huawei’s 300-person team has settled in Avita to start the co-creation of large five-seater and large six-seater models. Avita has invested in Shenzhen Yinwang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., which is held by Huawei, with a 10% stake, becoming Yinwang’s second largest shareholder. Huawei’s Vice Chairman and Rotating Chairman Xu Zhijun previously said: “I hope to load all the assets and personnel of Huawei’s automotive BU to Yinwang to achieve independent operation of Yinwang.”
