1. The condenser is too dirty
The condenser is actually the “small radiator” of the air conditioner. It is covered with dust every day when driving, and the surface is covered with catkins and dust. Once the heat dissipation is blocked, the cooling will be greatly reduced.
Inspection tips: Open the engine compartment and check whether there is a layer of black ash or small catkins on the metal grid in front of the “water tank” at the front of the car.
Simple operation: After turning off the engine, use a soft brush or a water spray bottle to brush it gently (don’t use a high-pressure water gun~)
2. The air conditioning filter has not been changed for too long
The filter is like a mask. If it is not changed for a long time, it is easy to be blocked, the air volume becomes smaller, and there is even a strange smell.
How to check? Open the glove box of the co-pilot and remove the filter in a few minutes. If it is too dirty, just replace it with a new one. It costs dozens of yuan on Taobao and you can do it yourself.
3. Insufficient refrigerant or leakage
This is just like our home air conditioner “lack of fluorine”. The refrigerant has been used for a long time or the system is leaking. No matter how hard the air conditioner blows, it will be hot air.
How to judge? Generally, if there is wind but it is not cold, and the air volume is normal, it is mostly “lack of refrigerant”. Recommended practice: Go to a professional repair shop to measure the pressure, check for leaks, and then add refrigerant.
4. The operation is not set correctly
Did you forget to press the AC? Sometimes the temperature is set too high and the internal circulation is not switched, which will make the air conditioner not cool.
It is recommended to open the window for ventilation when you just get in the car, then turn on the AC to lower the temperature, switch to the internal circulation, and it will be cool in a while~
5. Other reasons
If there are no problems with the above, it may be that the hardware such as the compressor, fan, and electronic components are faulty. Don’t tinker with these, find a professional repairman to be more reliable!
