1. Overall exports: breakthrough growth, rising volume and price

Export scale hits a new high: Export volume in April reached 317,000 units, up 26.9% month-on-month, reaching the monthly level of 300,000 units.

The amount rose simultaneously: the export amount reached 43.59 billion yuan, up 37.5% month-on-month, which was higher than the sales growth rate.

The average price rebounded significantly: the average price per unit was 137,500 yuan, up 10,600 yuan from March (126,900 yuan), with a significant rebound, reflecting the increase in the proportion of high-value models or the optimization of the model structure.

The trend is positive: Exports in the first four months of 2025 showed a steady upward trend, and the strong increase in April laid the tone for high growth in Q2.

2. Product structure: Passenger cars are the absolute main force

Passenger cars dominate the market: accounting for 96.7% (306,500 units) of the total new energy exports, with an export value of 40.11 billion yuan, which is the absolute core.

3. Which regions are they sold to? (New energy passenger cars)

Asia (including the Middle East): The largest export volume (123,100 units, accounting for 38.8%), with an average price of 118,800 yuan, which is a price depression and a scale-based market.

Europe: Export volume 93,200 units (accounting for 29.4%), export value 14.27 billion yuan (accounting for 32.7%), with a high average price of 153,100 yuan, becoming a core value market.

South America: Export volume 44,600 units (14.1%), with a bright growth rate, an average price of 105,500 yuan, an emerging potential market.

Oceania: The volume is relatively small (14,300 units, 4.5%), but the average price is as high as 196,600 yuan, which is significantly ahead of the world, reflecting the strong demand for high-end new energy vehicles in Australia, New Zealand and other places.

North America: Exports of 26,700 units (8.4%), with an average price of 117,800 yuan.

Africa: Exports of 4,700 units (1.5%), with an average price of 121,100 yuan, are in the initial stage.

4. Sales volume of major economic and trade organizations (new energy passenger vehicles)

Belt and Road countries: Exports of 183,000 units (accounting for 57.7%), the largest export destination, with an amount of 21.62 billion yuan and an average price of 118,100 yuan, reflecting the results of strategic cooperation.

ASEAN: Exports of 49,200 units (accounting for about 40% of Asian exports), with an average price of 114,700 yuan, are important markets within the framework of the Belt and Road.

RCEP: Exports of 72,400 units (22.8%), with a value of 10.21 billion yuan and an average price of 140,900 yuan, outperforming the overall Belt and Road Initiative.

G20 countries: Exports of 148,400 units (46.8%), with a value of 19.51 billion yuan and an average price of 131,400 yuan, covering major developed economies and emerging powers.

EU: Exports of 63,500 units (20.0%), with a value of 9.45 billion yuan and an average price of 148,700 yuan, the highest average price among major trade organizations, highlighting its high-end market positioning.

Arab countries: Exports of 20,500 units (6.5%), with an average price of 129,400 yuan, stable performance.

In April 2025, China’s exports of new energy passenger vehicles achieved a historic leap, breaking 300,000 units for the first time in a single month. Driven by the dual-wheel drive of the Asian and European markets, high-value regions (Europe, Oceania, and the European Union) performed well, and the “Belt and Road” countries continued to play a leading role in scale.

The continuous optimization of the export structure (increase in the proportion of high-value regions) will be the core focus in the future, and each company needs to deepen its differentiated layout according to the characteristics of different regions.
